Victoria and the Castelfidardo story

Victoria’s official history dates its foundation to 1919 and names Dario Dari and Adriano Picchietti. It also describes early converted accordions, a detail that gives the reader a more tangible sense of experimentation than a generic “founded in” line can provide.

That specificity is useful because accordion history is full of transitions. Instruments move from one keyboard system to another, from local workshop to export market, and from dance accompaniment to concert repertoire. A maker page should help us see those transitions while resisting the temptation to assign every later instrument to one neat lineage.
